Air Products respects your concerns about the privacy of the personal information you provide to us. We also believe it is important to inform you about how we will use your personal data and how Air Products adheres to its Data Privacy Policy.

Purpose, Scope and Consent

This Privacy Notice applies to all personal data provided by you in order to be considered for current and future job opportunities at Air Products groups of companies. This includes anysubsequent information gathered, in connection with your application, assessment process and subsequent employment, if you are successful. Air Products will process such personal data in the recruiting and potential pre/on-boarding processes and provide your application and personal data included therein to other Air Products affiliates as well as external companies involved in the recruiting process.

Please note that if you are unsuccessful in the initial position you apply for, we might contact you for future position(s) where we believe your skills or experience would be a good fit. This does not affect your rights with respect to deletion of your data at the end of retention periods.

Your agreement with the terms of this Privacy Notice signifies your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information for purposes related to matching you to relevant current and future job opportunities, your job application and potential pre/on-boarding, as set forth below. Therefore, we encourage you to read this Privacy Notice carefully and to click agree if you understand and agree to the terms of this notice.

Types of personal data collected

  •  Identification Information such as name, title, residential address, telephone number, mobile phone number,
  •  Characteristic Information such as age, gender, date of birth, place of birth, nationality etc.
  •  Social Situation: such as residential address, work permit, resident certificate, occupation, license etc.
  •  Information regarding education, examination, competencies and professional skill, such as educational background, school attended, certificates, etc.
  •  Employment Status / History, such as information in association with former employers
  •  Others such as images from CCTV (if you are invited for interview at one of our locations), voice and video recordings (if used as part of the assessments or interviews).
  •  If you are a successful candidate, we will be collecting additional personal information as part of the “pre-hire” process such as social security number and bank details - this information will only be used as part of the hiring process.

The examples provided are not all-inclusive. We also may collect similar or related information. We only collect this information where we are legally allowed or required to collect the information and/or at certain points in the recruitment and on-boarding process.

Controller, Storage and Retention, Media

  •  Data Controller: Air Products.
  •  Storage: Your personal data is stored by Air Products on its systems and servers, and on the servers of certain cloud-based database and data storage management services Air Products engages, mostly located in the United States.
  •  Retention: Air Products retains data for the duration of your relationship with Air Products and, after the end of such relationship, for the period during which Air Products may be confronted with questions or claims related to this relationship, and in compliance with other legal, tax and operating requirements retention obligations.   •  Media: By electronic and any other physical means
  •  International Data Transfer: We may transfer the personal information we collect about you to recipients in countries other than the country in which the information originally was collected.
    •  If you are located in the European Economic Area (“EEA”) or Switzerland, we will comply with applicable legal requirements providing adequate protection for the transfer of personal information to recipients in countries outside of the EEA and Switzerland. With respect to transfers of personal information to the U.S. and the United Kingdom, Air Products uses Standard Model Contracts framework developed by the European Commission.

How does the application system work?

Candidates can apply for a position within the Air Products group anywhere in the world via an online application system, called Infinite BrassRing provided by Infinite Computer Solutions Inc. that is integrated with a platform called Eightfold and provided by Eightfold AI Inc.. Candidates can submit their CV to be matched to relevant jobs, apply for a specific vacancy, a student position, or a position through the open applicant pool. Application information is processed by these Third parties, and may be located in different geographical regions in compliance with the applicable Privacy law. Air Products recruiters around the world will be able to match candidates with open vacancies within their parts of Air Products.

How will we use your data?

Your information will be used by one or more companies in the Air Products group to match your skills and experience with job opportunities, contact you about the positions,and assess your application. If you are employed, your information may also be transferred to the Air Products HR systems for employment administration purposes.

Who has access to your data?

You should know that in the recruitment and potential pre/on-boarding process your personal information will be transferred from your home country to other Air Products companies around the world. Air Products requires all of its companies that have access to the information to treat this data as confidential and to seek to maintain its security. Only Air Products recruiters, HR officers and relevant managers will have access to your data. Your personal data will be used solely by Air Products and will not be sold to third parties. However, your data may be disclosed to third party vendors that service the recruitment system and requires access to the data to provide its services. Air Products requires these companies to adequately safeguard your personal data and not use it for any unauthorized purposes. This applies also to the services provided by our Corporate IT Department.

Requests regarding your Personal Data: access, correction, update and deletion Subject to applicable law and certain exemptions, you may have the right to access, rectify, oppose the processing, or delete your Personal Data.

In order to exercise these rights so that updates, corrections and/or deletions can be made in accordance with applicable law, you can:

  •  either correct or delete your profile directly in Infinite BrassRing;
  •  or contact the Air Products Data Privacy Team at privacy@airproducts.com

Air Products is a global company and is established in several countries. If you have already applied to our organization in another way your decision not to register now will not affect the applications that you have submitted before.

In many countries, you have a right to lodge a complaint with the appropriate data protection authority if you have concerns about how Air Products processes your personal data.

How long will Air Products keep your data?

Personal data of any candidate applying for a job will generally be kept in Infinite BrassRing and/or the Eightfold platform for a period of 3 years after the last update performed by a candidate. All candidates are encouraged to update their data when appropriate.

If successful, any personal information collected will be held on our HR systems and retained for the period of your employment with Air Products and additional post-separation retention period based on your country of employment. 

How will we secure your data?

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information you provide against accidental, unlawful, or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure, or use. We will update these measures as new technology becomes available, as appropriate.

Modifications

Air Products reserves the right to modify or amend this Privacy Notice at any time. The effective date of this Privacy Notice is displayed at the beginning of this notice. Please check back periodically, and especially before you provide any personally identifiable information.
