Simply put, we put safety first in everything we do. That's why we've earned more safety-related awards in the last 50 years than any other industrial gas company in the world.

Year after year, Air Products stands out among the American Chemistry Council's (ACC) top safety performers. Twice we've earned the ACC's prestigious Lammont du Pont Safety Award for exceptional safety improvement. And for the second consecutive year, Air Products was named the safest large-scale chemical manufacturer in the U.S.

Air Products UK won the European Industrial Gases Association (EIGA) award for the best safety performance in 2000, recognizing our leadership in the Industrial Gases Industry. In addition Carburos Metalicos, our Spanish company, won EIGA's award for best cylinder delivery fleet safety performance. Our Acrefair and Clayton plants in the U.K. won the prestigious Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents Gold Award for the 5th year running, which resulted in their receipt of Gold medals.
